The Quest Church is about experiencing God, relationships, and change. Our Mission’s Team goal is to become involved in local, national and international missions so that others may experience God’s love with our help. We have already become involved locally and are currently researching possibilities international mission opportunities.
In 2007, we took part in a number of military missions locally including Operation Augusta Cares in April, Wounded Warrior cookouts, a Stamps for Soldiers project to send boxes of cards over seas, numerous care package projects, Christmas parties for the families of deployed soldiers, and cookie deliveries on Christmas day. We look forward to continue to serve our military families and have already committed to Operation Augusta Cares in May of 2008.
The Quest adopted 150 children this year for Augusta Urban Ministries’ White Christmas project so that local children would get their wishes fulfilled for Christmas.
Each quarter, 10% of weekly offerings are distributed to a local, regional, or international mission or organization. This year, our contributions were designated to Augusta Urban Ministries, SafeHomes of Augusta, and the United Methodist Children’s Home in Atlanta (which recently lost a home due to a fire).
